AviationWiser IFR Trainer: Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the AviationWiser IFR Trainer app ("the app") for iPhone, iPad and Android handles your information. The app is published by WiserWorks LLC ("we", "us"), New Jersey, United States.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal information. The app does not send any data to us or to any analytics or advertising company.
2. Information stored only on your device
To keep the Pro unlock working when you are offline, the app saves a small note on your device that says Pro is unlocked for this app and when the store last confirmed it. This note contains no personal information and no payment details, never leaves your device through the app, and is removed when you delete the app.
3. Purchases
The optional one-time "Pro" purchase is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your name, e-mail address or payment details. The app only asks the store on your device whether your store account owns Pro, so it can unlock it. This also lets you restore the purchase on a new device. Apple and Google handle purchase data under their own privacy policies:
On Android, Google's purchase system includes a Google software component in the app. Any technical information it sends to Google is handled by Google, not by us.
4. Permissions
The app does not ask for access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files. On Android it uses network access only so that Google Play's purchase system works, and vibration for a light tap when you press buttons.
5. Children
The app is a training tool for pilots and is not directed to children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
6. Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the effective date before the change takes effect.
